  I want to let craigieburn know what patons jewellers are really like. I have seen some of their other reviews and cannot believe it is from genuine customers. The truth about this retailer when it comes to repairs or alterations warrants people to go to consumer affairs of which i intend to do. I am not on my own opinion either. Recently i spoke to a good friend and she had the same experience as myself. If you ever bring your expensive gold rings or jewels to be resized to a larger size what you will get is a restretched ring much thinner and lighter ring and nothing like your original ring. My friend had her large size ring made smaller. They took her money for the resize and kept her gold that they should,ve given back. Do not trust this company for any alterations. I was able to get my original spec,s of my expensive gold ring and much to my disgust it confirmed my original initial complaint which they did not want to admit to. They denied my original complaint saying they do not do that sort of business. The truth is that they cut corners by deceiving people. Unfortuneatly you probably cannot trust some other jewellers also, take photo,s weights and spec's of your own precious belongings.
